- "For a population over 50 that also works longer and plays harder than they ever have, technology is increasingly viewed as an essential tool that empowers older adults to live better lives."
- "...Americans over 50 are buying tech at unprecedented rates, making the tech industry a key contributor to the economic activity generated by this group annually."

- "...more than 55 million adults over 50 are interested in technology that can make their lives easier or more fulfilling—and they’re willing to buy it. They also have distinct wants and needs, and their desire to age in place is driving their spending decisions."
What kinds of tech might impact Nordic walkers?
- The obvious: Improvements to Nordic walking poles. Current examples I'm aware of are poles with resistance bands to expand the number of exercises one can do and poles with springs to absorb the shock of planting in the ground.
- Treadmills that make it easy to use poles. The old Nordic Track was a step in that direction.
- Sensors that measure physical performance for later analysis.
